In today's project box is a quilt I will be working on over the coming months. One block a month rather than trying to get the whole quilt done at one time. It is a class I am teaching so I just have to keep ahead of the students!! The quilt is called "Squirrelly Girl" by Bunny Hill Designs. Bunny Hill makes lots of great patterns and this one is no exception.
Here are some of the fabrics that are going into the quilt. Aren't they cute!! I don't always get the matching fabric but in this case I just had to.......lots of squirrels and acorns!!
The pattern calls for hand applique but I am doing it with nonwoven fusible interfacing instead and stitching on my sewing machine. You could make it using fusible webbing as well. I will post more about this method of applique as I go along with making the blocks. I will post several steps of each block so you can follow along if you'd like to make this quilt.
Now back to the squirrels!
Have a great day!!
