Back to my April Insanity List! Have you been working on yours? Be sure to leave a comment below letting all of us know how you are progressing.....or not!
Last week, I worked on Postcard Cuties from Bunny Hill Designs. This is an older project I had tucked away and brought out when I did my April Insanity List. For those of you who didn't follow along in April, just click on the tab at the top of my blog to see what I posted each day in April. Old projects, new projects, quilting, crocheting, cross stitch.......a little bit of everything. It is my project list for the year to help me keep track of what I'm doing and, YES, what I'm not doing!
I hold a sewing camp twice a year and this is one of the projects I worked on during camp a couple of weeks ago. We had a grand time and everyone got lots of projects finished! Since I hadn't worked on this project for some time, the first order of business was to remember what I was doing. I was working from a jelly roll and a couple of charm packs and there were places in this quilt where I was going to need bigger pieces of fabric than that so I stitched two pieces together to get the area where the snowmen appliques will go.
Here are the blocks I finished during camp. The first one was already done but the rest I stitched at camp. It doesn't look like much right now as there are all sorts of sizes mixed together as you can see in the pattern picture.
Five blocks in all. Where there are bigger areas is where the applique shapes will go. Here is what the first row will look like when stitched together. I won't stitch it together until I put on the appliques.
Here is the first row and part of the second row.
Next, my plan is to work on the appliques for these blocks and stitching the rest of the blocks for the second row.
Keep stitching,
loreen
