Applique stitching is all finished. I think that's my favorite part of this project. Well that and the fact that it's a quick and fun project! I'm hoping to start working on the November hanging block pretty soon so I can be ahead for a change! This block doesn't have any binding so the outside border that you see will give the appearance of binding once it is completed. The back will have two little hanger pockets so it can slide onto the table hanger that I have.
Once the back is complete, I will sew around the outside leaving an opening for turning. It will be a sandwich of batting, the back and the top. Next I have to decide what I will do for quilting. I know I will stitch in the ditch at inside edge of the little border to give it more of the appearance of binding. Probably just a bit of stippling on the background will do the trick..........get it! Trick that goes with treat!! Ok, some will only groan at that but it really was an unintentional pun that I did intentionally leave it in this blog!
Lastly will be adding the little button eyes and candy corn teeth. I know I have them in my sewing room somewhere and I did see them recently! Darn, I think I put them in that place I can never find.......
